After receiving his undergraduate training, Dr Shields traveled to Cleveland to receive his Doctorate from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating and fulfilling a Surgical Residency and Fellowship, he and his family moved to Enid, OK to open his first podiatry clinic.

Dr. Shields is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, Diplomat of the National Board of Podiatric Examiners, and Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Shields sees patients in office at his Enid and Oklahoma City locations.
